Recreational Facilities

Mountainair hosts a number of recreational facilities that are available for use by the general public.

Facilities include:

  • Dr. Saul Community Center - 111 N. Roosevelt Avenue
  • Chavez Memorial Park - 200 Block on W. Cedar Street ((Bathrooms closed during winter months): Currently CLOSED
  • J.P. Helms Rodeo Grounds - East on Third Street: $50.00 fee for Concession Stand 
  • Mountainair Municipal Airport - West End of Amble Street
  • Mountainair Multi-Purpose Building - 106 N Sunset

Community Building Event rental can include the Multi-Purpose Building for an additional $20.00.  For the rental of the Canopy $150.00 of the rental fee goes to the committee who puts it together. Senior Citizens get free rental on the use of the Dr. Saul Community Building.  The Town is NOT held responsible for any equipment left in the building.  Paid rentals get priority to building over free usage.  Town functions that are open to the public and support economic growth are allowed a 25% discount for building, 20% discount for the stage and canopy.  Any additional rentals that are believed to meet these requirements must be submitted to the Council with advanced notice of 45 days for approval to confirm discount. If the building is clean after rental, deposit is returned to customer.
